SPRING AND FALL WIND UP NIGHTS 2023

2023 was a milestone year for MVSRA - formed in 1983 - it was the 40th year of dedicated volunteers, horses and their owners helping program participants to enjoy riding lessons and cart rides.

As the lesson program was only run on Monday nights for the spring and fall sessions this year - the format for the spring and fall windup nights was a showcase of the riders' skills, rather than a competition.

SPRING WIND UP NIGHT:

​

Cart Riders:   Barbara, Michael, Jared and Kim each navigated the course with Denise and Addy driving

                      Louise.

                      Jonas, Tyler, Amber and Carmen navigated the course with Clarence driving Peppy.

​

Riders:           Colton riding Meo, and Dawsyn riding Reflection completed the Potato Race and Bean Bag

                       Barrels.

                      Trent riding Lady, and Margaret riding Red completed the Bean Bag Barrels and the 

                      Scavenger Hunt.

                       Kylie riding Reflection, Sheila riding Lady, Tiffany riding Meo, and Nathan riding Red all took 

                       part in the Barrel Race, Potato Race, and Musical Tokens.

FALL WIND UP NIGHT:

​

An obstacle course designed to highlight skills the riders have been learning in their weekly lessons was set up for each group.

​

Cart Rider:     Jared enjoyed navigating the course, with Denise driving her trusty Fjord mare - Louise.

​

Riders:            Dawsyn riding Reflection, Sheila riding Luna, Colton riding Meo, and Tristan riding Louise

                       showcased their skills in the obstacle course.

                       Trent riding Lady, Izak riding Reflection, Jackob riding Luna, and Nathan riding Meo enjoyed 

                       showing the skills they have practiced in the obstacle course.
